Homework:

QUIZ WED on chapter four!
 Finish page 15 from workbook on prefixes. Please reread your favorite section (1-2 pages) of chapter 4 in "Lightning Thief." Look for words that include prefixes and record definitions using your prefix chart and using context clues. Please send your list with your full name as an attachment in google classroom.

Period 3:
QUIZ FRIDAY on chapter four! 
​Please read chapter three and mark 3 places where you notice Percy's thoughts. Here are some examples: "I wonder" "I think" "I imagined." Review the questions for tomorrow's quiz.

I can gather important details and determine the main idea of an excerpt.

I can identify characteristics of a strong paragraph.

Review chapter four for quiz tomorrow!

Period 3: 
Complete first draft reading of chapter 4.  Mark 3 places where Percy experiences challenges.  On each sticky note, explain his response.

With the text, "Hero's Journey," add to recording form for Intro. and Act 1.  

Do a first draft reading of the rest of the text and take gist notes.


Period 3: 
Finish page 15 of the workbook.  Reread your favorite section (1-2) pages of Lightning Thief.  Look for 4 words that include prefixes.  Try to determine their definitions.
